Who we are:
What began as a small congregation serving a nonprofit on a Sunday morning in 2014 has turned into a movement of the “Big C” Church of New Braunfels uniting and serving our community together.
This 100% volunteer run organization connects needs and resources in New Braunfels to more effectively love our community like Jesus does.
Why we exist:
We believe that when the community comes together, big things can happen!
Serve Spot exists to assist New Braunfels in three areas:
Unify: Serve Spot works to unify the local Church and connect civic, faith, nonprofit, and community together to love our neighbors well.
Educate: Serve Spot aims to educate our community about the real needs of our growing community.
Action: Serve Spot gives opportunities to our community to take action and make a difference with neighbors in need throughout the year.

Big Serve Weekend
New Braunfels’ city-wide volunteer day is our annual event serving dozens of local nonprofits with hundreds of volunteers. This event takes place the second weekend of October each year.

Created by our local Pastors Coalition upon the request of our local nonprofits, this directory helps you find a nonprofit with whom you can link arms during a crisis or help carry a burden too big for you to do on your own. Search this directory by keyword to find a local resource you need. Over 80 nonprofits and organizations can be found on this resource page.
Volunteer Portal
Also created by our Pastors Coalition as a gift to our community, this is a simple way for you to find your spot to serve. Want to volunteer in town but don’t know where to start? Start here! Search by date or type of project. Great for individuals and groups.
Educational Opportunities
We can make a difference in our community if we know what’s happening with our neighbors. Serve Spot loves partnering with nonprofits, foundations, and civic organizations to help our community learn about the needs and resources in New Braunfels. Building Congregational and Civic Teams
Knowing that others are partnering to make a difference makes a difference! Serve Spot works with local nonprofits to build congregational support teams, and builds/enhances grassroots teams to tackle social issues in New Braunfels. Homelessness. Equity and Inclusivity. Church Connections
Unity of the “Big C” is so much more effective than working in individual silos. Pastors, volunteers, and church staff can all be better stewards of time, talent and treasures of their congregation and serve our community better if they’re working in conjunction with other congregations in town. We love the Church and want to serve it through relationships.
Love supporting the kids but feel your efforts are too little to make a difference? Let us help you get to know others in town with the same heart. Have a Thanksgiving ministry? Let’s get you partnered with another congregation doing the same thing so you’re not duplicating efforts. Need a support group for one of your congregants that isn’t your area of expertise? We can help you find another congregation who has it!
Knowing and trusting other congregations is key to changing our community.
